Diamond Oaks Llamas came into existence in 1986 with the acquisition of Melba's Cinnamon Toast as a source of fiber for spinning and weaving. From that beginning arose a llama herd of approximately fifty, including several ALSA Halter and Performance Champions.
Located in scenic East Texas on 24 acres, Diamond Oaks consistently produces champion stock, year after year.
Since The Gardner's began showing in 1994, they have accumulated approximately 20 Recognitions of Merit, 5 ALSA Halter Champions, and 3 Performance Champions. They have accumulated over 1100 ALSA points and won close to 100 Grand and Reserve Grand Championships. A recent acquisition to the herd won Grand Champion Light Wool Female at the ALSA Grand National. Two of their young males placed in the top ten at that show.
Diamond Oaks' breeding program is based on conformation first. Even though they are home to six outstanding herdsires, they have diversified bloodlines and perpetuate that by seeking outside breedings each year.
Diamond Oaks strives to have llamas with gentle and pleasing personalities. Looking for a companion llama, a guard llama, or a llama for your breeding program? We Have What It Takes!
